I set up my ceramic's studio as what I now call 'My Adult Mental Health Therapy Room' in 2022, I do not do it as a full time job, more in short bursts when I have some time, and an urge to try some new challenges. I tend to work on a sort of project basis, producing a batch of items that satisfy my latest creative urge.

I am happy to sell my pieces, however, I do not have the time to continually update my shop with all the pieces that I make. The Earth Goddess Plant Pot range was borne out of wanting to make useful items, and a continuation of my desire to use less plastic in our lives. Indoor plant pots often have no hole in the base and are designed to be used with a plastic plant pot liner.

Plants add a positive air to our environments, the ones wee keep in our homes can become our friends and companions. Earth Goddess Plant Pots give you the opportunity to give a favorite plant a special new home. These are Art Pots, I would suggest that they are used intenally, but there is no reason why they cannot be kept outside.

The pots are thrown, then once leather dry, are turned to tidy the bases, and the designs are carved with a face on one side and floral representations on the reverse. Once bisque fired, the carved lines are highlighted with underglaze, and other features highlighted with a metallic glaze. The inside is theen filled with a dipping glaze and drained out via thee hole. These areas are then waxed and the main surface area covered by hand with layers of different glazes. The pots are then fired to stoneware and ready for their new host plant.

The insect population in the UK has decreased by 60% in the past decades, we need to embrace our insects and promote their variety, beauty and super-powers. Don't just love your breakfast, love your crockery!

I used to get hit in the face by insects al the time when cycling years ago, however, sadly, this is no longer the case. I respone I have tried to illustrate and celebrate the whole of the Uk bug population on ceramic tableware. In the end, there were just too many species! The insects are depicted as follows: Fruit Bowls - Bees and Dragonflys/Mayfly £75. Large Eating Bowls - Flying Insects £35-£45. Side Plates - True Bugs £35. Beakers - Butterflys £30. Dinner plates - Moths £50. Small-Mini Bug Bowls - Bugs, Ants, Spiders £15-£25

This series of Bug Bowl tablewear works is ongoing and evolving, and some are available in the online Store in the form of large bowls, standard soup/desert bowls, mini bowls, plates, beakers and pen pots.
